Statement of Faith | Code of Conduct

If you are uncomfortable with or have questions about the Statement of Faith or Code of Conduct, please explain:
Check all the WORLD products you regularly interact with.
Which products or departments are you most interested in working with?
What particular news beat are you most interested in covering during the fellowship?
Applicants must submit the following materials to be considered. All documents should reflect high editorial standards—free of spelling and grammatical errors.
Attach a one-page statement explaining: 1.) how you "integrate faith and journalism," 2.) how you align with WORLD's "biblically objective mission," and 3.) why you are interested in a year of "on-the-street, iterative, and feedback-heavy work."
Submit a professional biography describing your career history, education, and any awards or specialized training.
Submit five samples of your previous work that prioritize firsthand observation and original reporting across platforms. If possible, include samples that demonstrate you can use sound and images well.
Provide two reference letters from editors or mentors whom you have specifically requested to address your character—such as initiative, determination, creativity, excellence, service, humility, and perception.
Also include a letter of recommendation from a pastor or trusted spiritual adviser that addresses your Christian development and church involvement.
Attach a short proposal for an ambitious but realistic journalism project of your own design that you’d like to produce during the specialization phase of the fellowship.
