WJI 2019, Day 4 PM

Robert Downey Jr. was arrested for drug possession, the first ladies of the United States suffer poor grammar and Tiffany Owens is the most incredible photography teacher. (A basic summary of WJI's first Monday at Dordt College).

Newspaper day in the World Journalism classroom brought around increased attention to copy editing and concise writing. Russell Pulliam, associate editor of the Indianapolis Star, introduced students to profile writing and students split into pairs writing features on one another.

"A much deeper kind of ice breaker," one student said.

After dinner, New Yorker, Tiffany Owens led students through her portfolio of work, minus photos she lost in an unfortunate thievery in Rome. Students then spread across campus capturing photos of each other in the evening light.
